Explore Invidia — Envy, reimagined from Jacques Callot’s iconic 1620s Baroque etching series Les Péchées Capitaux.
Callot’s original engraving shows a gaunt figure walking with a dog — the traditional symbol of jealousy. The composition captures someone consumed by what others have, a restless pursuit that devours from within.
The front features Callot’s original etching with “Inuidia” inscribed in period-authentic script. The back carries the “Seven Deadly Sins” typographic treatment with “Envy” in hand-drawn blackletter.
Crafted from GOTS-certified organic cotton. No harmful chemicals or toxic dyes. Heavyweight fabric, individually garment-dyed for a unique patina on every piece. Reverse flatlock stitching reduces bulk and strengthens seams, while raglan sleeves and a relaxed fit allow natural movement. Flatlock-stitched armholes add durability. Made in California.
