About the art

This limited-edition hoodie was inspired by the eternal flame sitting at the center of Audioslave's self-titled debut album, designed by Storm Thorgerson, featuring a striking and surreal image set in a desolate desert landscape. At the center of the scene stands a monumental sculpture of a red-orange flame, rendered in a smooth, metallic finish. This flame sculpture, with its dynamic curves and polished surface, appears both natural and otherworldly. The barren, sandy ground contrasts starkly with the vivid flame, enhancing its visual impact. The sky above is a gradient of blue, subtly transitioning from a darker hue at the top to a lighter shade near the horizon. The overall composition creates a sense of isolation and power, mirroring the intense and raw energy of the music within the album. Storm once described the giant piece as an eternal flame symbolizing how two deceased bands, Soundgarden and Rage Against The Machine, lived on in the reincarnation called Audioslave.
