Ecce Homo 2.0 Signature Hoodie

Ecce Homo 2.0 is a painting from
Caravaggio depicting Jesus in a crown of thorns before crucifixion. The piece
was originally thought to be from the “circle of José de Ribera,” a 17th
century Spanish painter. However, experts didn’t let the painting remain in the
catalog for very long… there was sufficient stylistic and documentary evidence
suggesting it was actually done by the Baroque Master of lights and shadows.

The 1.0 version brings us back in early
1600, when Cardinal Massimo Massimi commissioned paintings on the theme
of Ecce Homo from three artists back in early 1600, Cigoli, Caravaggio, and
Domenico Passignano, without informing the artists of the multiple commissions.
It is said that the cardinal preferred Cigoli's version (Passignano’s painting
has never resurfaced). The scene includes in the second plan a
framed version of the same theme illustrated by Cigoli.
